YAOUNUDE, CAMEROON AFRICA. NOVEMBER 2010 (news.cameroon-today.com) - Cameroon Traditional Rulers Meet In Yaounde To Discuss the Role of Traditional Leaders in the Cameroonian Governments Decentralization Process.
The 4th general council of traditional rulers of the center region of Cameroon ends today, Saturday 27th November 2010 in the provincial capital city of the center region of Cameroon, Yaounde.
The meeting gave traditional rulers an opportunity to examine the role and place as traditional rulers in the decentralization process now taking place in Cameroon, Africa.

The President of the Council of Traditional Rulers of the center region used the occasion to seek ways to strengthen and reinforce the development of the local projects of traditional rulers.
To this end, a mutual fund to facilitate financing of their development projects was setup.
Amongst the goals of the meetings was helping traditional rulers in Cameroon to reinforce their culture and languages in the next generation of Cameroonian youth.
Traditional rulers were also called upon in their capacity as auxiliaries administrators to the Cameroonian government to help their subjects to participate in the voting process by registering and voting during the upcoming 2011 presidential elections.
