The popular footballer of Spain Carles Puyol is visiting Russia’s St. Petersburg and Moscow by next week to draw excitement to the forthcoming FIFA Confederations Cup of 2017.
The 38-year-old famous Puyol will begin on Monday, February 27 his Russian call. He will stop briefly at the newly-constructed football arena in St. Petersburg where he will connect with a delegation from FIFA and Russia’s-2018 Local Organizing Committee.
After visiting St. Petersburg arena, Puyol is scheduled for an online conversation via Russia’s VKontakte with Russian football followers. He earlier opened a personal account with social network VKontakte.
On Tuesday, the popular former midfielder will stopover at Moscow, Russia’s capital and meet up with volunteers chosen to help at the FIFA Confederations 2017 and FIFA World Cup 2018. MGIMO University is the venue for the said meeting.
Apparently, Puyol was in Moscow last June for the launch of the World Cup 2018 and Confederations Cup 2017 Volunteer Recruitment campaign together with President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Gianni Infantino of FIFA.
The Spanish footballer enjoyed his trip to Russia in June and looks forward to his forthcoming visit.

2017 FIFA Confederations Cup is perceived by sports specialists as a year preparation before the FIFA World Cup is scheduled between June 17 and July 2 at four Russian stadiums including Otkritie-Arena in Moscow, St. Petersburg Arena, Kasan-Arena, and the Fisht Arena in Sochi.
Participating in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup are hosts Russia, Germany, Chile, Australia, Mexico, Portugal New Zealand and the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations Champion Cameroon.
The draw for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 was held in the Russian city of Kazan on November 26 last year. Drawn for Group A are Russia, Portugal, New Zealand, and Mexico. On the other hand, Group B is composed of Chile, Germany, Cameroon and Australia.
