
Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – The government of Spain wants to partner with the Cameroon Airlines Corporation (CAMAIR-CO) in maintaining the company’s aircraft.
Spanish Ambassador to Cameroon, Arturo Spiegelberg de Ortueta and Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, Robert Nkili recently in Yaounde discussed the possibilities of the partnership that will enable Spanish aviation companies share their advanced technical know-how with CAMAIR-CO, a press release from the Transport Ministry published on Thursday, January 12, 2012 issue of the government bilingual daily newspaper, Cameroon Tribune states.
The Spanish government, the Ambassador reportedly said, would want Cameroon to ratify the Air Transport Convention so as to enable airlines companies in the two countries to cooperate.
Minister Robert Nkili, the press release disclosed, promised to put in all efforts for the convention to be ratified. He also promised to instruct the management of CAMAIR-CO to undertake negotiations with Spanish aviation companies to establish relations.
The negotiations, Robert Nkili said, will lead to the diversification of relations between the Cameroon Airlines Company and Spanish companies.
The partnership between aviation companies will strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
