Russia’s ambassador to Turkey assassinated in Ankara in what Moscow calls an act of terror

Ambassador Andrei Karlov was shot at a photo exhibit where he was speaking. In a video, the gunman shouted: “Do not forget Aleppo! Do not forget Syria! As long as our lands are not safe, you will not be safe!”

Ambassador Andrei Karlov has a long history of foreign service to the Russian republic. Prior to serving in Ankara, Turkey he served as Russian Ambassador to North Korea from 2001 to 2006 and Korean fluently.

This leaves many questions for the Turks as hosts and the Russians.
