A woman in Penda Mboko has been harassed and embarassed by her nine children over their fathers’ identities. The woman, Sarah, has had nine children with six different men, all of whom abandoned her in turn.

Sarah, who is a palm wine vendor, had some difficult explaining to do when all the children, five sons and four daughters approached her and asked her to name their various fathers.

Shortly before this encounter, the children had argued over the sharing of money donated by their mother. The argument left them quarelling over who their real fathers were.

According to neighbours, the children promised to cut all ties with Sarah if she did not provide the identities of their various fathers within two weeks.

This is not the first time a single parent faces such embarassement in Penda Mboko, Cameroon
