Anatole Abang Joins Men’s National Team of Cameroon’s December Training Camp

Anatole Abang, New York Red Bull’s exiled forward, does not have club duties until the Danish First Division reconvenes in March. The club is currently on its winter break.

Abang’s team, Hobro IK between now and then will have to appoint a new head coach, who will be guiding the club’s current Top Danish pro soccer’s second level to promotion.

At the moment, Abang is hopeful to be called to the Cameroon’s Men’s National Team’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations this coming January.  In a related news from Cameroon-Info.net’s Jean-Marie Nkoussa, it is inspiring to learn that Abang is included in the training camp this December convened by Hugo Broos, head coach of Indomitable Lions.

The training camp is generally composed of locally-based player who most likely would not be included in the roster of APCON 2017. However, Broos is keen on the AFCON 2017 tournament and told reporters that part of the exercise is to support the conditioning of players who might join the AFCON squad. Among the participants, Abang is the likely candidate to go for the Cup.

The camp will run until December 21.
