In preparation for Haj this year, a delegation from Cameroon visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to hold meetings with Saudi authorities recently.
The delegation according to an embassy staff was headed by the head of the Cameroon Haj National Commission, Abdoulkarim Dewa.
Ambassador to Saudi Iya Tidjani and the Consul General of Jeddah, Oumarou Issa participated in the delegation to discuss with Hussein bin Mohammed Shariff, State Secretary of the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah.
The embassy staff stated that the delegation talked with Saudi authorities the country’s limit for this year. The parties signed for 4,500 pilgrims although 10,000 is the regular quota.
Agreements on housing in Madinah and Makkah, transportation and food catering with local businesses were also signed by the delegation.
