The Super Eagles is Nigeria’s national football team from whom the current AFCON champions seeks to get at least four points when both teams bump into each other beginning August for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
Nigeria is set to receive on August 28 Cameroon to Uyo and the subsequent match will be held in Limbe on September 2.
During a radio conference with Sven Vandenbroeck, the Assistant Coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions, said that the team would need to obtain at least four points off the Super Eagles and those two games will be not easy.
However, he further stated that there are still six months before August and the team still has a long time to train.
The Assistant Coach revealed that he has watched how the Super Eagles won over Algeria with a 3-1 score in another World Cup qualifier match in November.
He further revealed that the Super Eagles under Gernot Rohr is a good team with talented players who play as a team.
He observed that the Eagles were saddened for not being at the AFCON. Vandenbroeck assisted Coach Hugo Broos in bringing the Indomitable Lions back to limelight of the African football through the AFCON hosted by Gabon.
Currently, Nigeria is leading in the qualifying Group B of the World Cup by earning six points from two rounds of matches. Cameroon has two points while Algeria and Zambia have one point each.
The Assistant Coach is determined that the Indomitable Lions are in high spirit to win the World Cup to be back to back after winning the trophy at AFCON in Gabon.
Being African champions, the Lions have been boosted mentally. Next month, Cameroon is expected to play two friendly games against Morocco before playing at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia this summer.
