Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – Dangote has announced plans to invest around $100 million in a cement plant in Cameroon, Africa.

Dangote, a cement producer based out of Nigeria has announced plans to invest $100 million to construct a cement plant in Cameroon.
The group has apparently spoken to representatives of the local media regarding their plans about the aforesaid project.
“We have reached an agreement with Cameroonian,” Dangote general manager Aliko Dangote spoke to the official daily Cameroon Tribune.
“If the cement business succeeds our group will move into other domains of the Cameroonian industry,” he said.
Cameroon presently has only one cement producing plant, CIMENCAM, which produces about a million tones of cement from its two factories annually.
The government has been having discussions with couple of firms that are based out of South Korea and China but there have been no deals fixed with either of them so far and the projects are still very much in their discussion stages.
