Carl Ikeme will be missing the matches with Cameroon and South Africa.
There is a slight worry for Gernot Rohr, the technical adviser for Super Eagles for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches of the team with South Africa and Cameroon. The fight with Cameroon is a double header.
Carl Ikeme, Super Eagles’ initial choice as goalie, might miss 5 remaining games of the Wolves at the English Championship season and the critical games against Cameroon and South Africa as his knee problem will likely end his season early.
He has been for a month sidelined after having the knee injury while on an international duty with Nigeria.
The team hoped that Ikeme would only be out of the games for a few weeks, but the hamstring problem is taking more time to heal than expected and Wolves is anticipated to play without him for the remaining Championship games.
Paul Lambert, manager of Wolves, stated that he is definitely sure that Ikeme is out at Leeds and not sure is he can still be back this season due to his fitness concerns caused by the hamstring injury.
