Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – Cameroon Bafang Stadium which has recorded numerous instances of violent responses from its fans previously has proven once again that conditions are the same when it hosted the first division national championships.
Bafang Stadium situated in West Cameroon is quite notorious for the aggression and violence exhibited by its fans who are mostly ardent followers of Unisport Haut-Nkam, one of the local teams of first division national championship.
They once again proved that conditions are no different after living up to their expectations once again on Wednesday afternoon during a match of the 12th day of the first division national championships.
The match was between Unisport to Coton sport, an exciting clash between the runner up (21 points) and the leader (24 points). The atmosphere was quite tense with fans of both teams waiting to pounce at each other on the first sign. Indeed, Alexandre Belinga coach of Unisport was turned out from the field then Mballa Owona referee of the match was pounced at by fans, the latter had to be saved from their clutches by the security forces. The match ended by a draw (0-0) with no team scoring a goal.
The Reunification stadium where the late match of this 12th day was held witnessed the triumph of Tiko United over Astres Douala 4 – 1.
