CAMEROON MEDIA SOURCES – ONLY GOOD QUALITY MEDIA ATTRACT CAPITAL FUNDING

YAOUNDE, CAMEROON, AFRICA. NOVEMBER 2010 (NEWS.CAMEROON-TODAY.COM) – PATTERNS OF AFRICAN MEDIA AND DONORS MET ON NOVEMBER 21, 2010 IN YAOUNDE FOR A OF TWO DAY DISCUSSIONS AND DEBATES.

The open forum on “Support African Media Business Models” ended with the observation that only good quality media can attract capital.

271 men and bankers media took part in the work, held at the Hilton hotel, in center city, Yaounde, Cameroon.

The economic situation of media companies in Africa are hardly shining. The purpose of this forum was to improve the situation. With the aim to work on three themes:

  1. Funding;
  2. The technology and ethics;
  3. The leadership and social responsibility.

For the organizers, on all three topics, there have been huge advances, with concrete proposals on the table. People understand the need for media professionals, ethical, who have a sense of responsibility, in order to advance Africa.

 

The Conference was the first ever such conference to be held on Cameroon soil, a sign of better days ahead for the Cameroon media community and a recognition of its role on the African continent.
