KAKE, KUMBA, CAMEROON, AFRICA. NOVEMBER 2010 (NEWS.CAMEROON-TODAY.COM)  -  A woman has been beaten to death in Kake, Kumba Subdivision in the Southwest Region.

Awah was cought cheating by his wife yesterday. The lewd act was happening in a local motel. Awah’s wife had been previously tipped by an anonymous woman about the affair.

After checking into the motel, Awah and his lover were surprised by a knock on the door. When they opened the door, they were treated to a surprise package.

Acts of Domestic Violence Are Rampant In Cameroon Africa and sometimes ends with sad consequences of death or permanent injury. Such was the case with The Awahs household in Cameroon, Kake, Kumba. Many such acts of violence go on without police intervention. (Man beats wife to deat depiction)

Awah’s angry wife stormed in and asked the concubine to dress up and go home. Motel staff detected trouble and came in to intervene. They asked the couple to go home and resolve their differences in a responsible manner. The couple left the premises thirty minutes after this.

Real trouble began when they arrived home and a quarel broke. In the course of the quarrel, Awah questioned his wife’s reasons for embarassing him in public. He went on to beat her continuously despite pleas from neighbours who arrived the scene.

He only stopped when he realised that she had passed out and even stopped breathing. Upon closer examination, when it became clear that she had died, Awah quickly left the house. A man hunt has begun but he is no where to be found. Awah is a local farmer and has been married to his wife for a long time with several kids.
