Buea, Cameroon Africa. December 2010 (Cameroon News)   -   The University of Buea graduates first batch of Bachelor Master Doctorate pragramme students.

The University of Buea shall tomorrow graduate students from the very first batch of students under the BMD or Bachelor Master Doctorate programme.

Thousands of students getting ready to graduate have seen the population of the town almost quadrupled as parents, family members and well wishers get ready to make merry.

Ahead of this event, the registrar, Professor Sampson Abagma issued a release mentioning the University of Buea Development Fund activities.

This year, pending projects include the construction of a new laboratory, given the new faculties that were recently created in the institution.

The university also intends to launch the official robes for students and staff members. The UBDEF has been dormant in recent years, but this year will be different.

On campus at the university, smiling students can be seen trying on their graduation robes and their digital cameras, since no moment of the convocation and graduation ceremony may be missed.

Security details expect to have long and agonizing waits in traffic, as well as a slight increase in crime as usually seen during convocation ceremonies.

Tomorrow’s convocation shall take place against the backdrop of a newly created state university in Bamenda, in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
