Cameroon Defeated Senegal – Booked Place in the Semi-Final

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions have marked their position in the semi-final of AFCON (African Cup of Nations) 2017 after beating one of the tournament’s favorites,  Teranga Lions of Senegal, 5-4 on penalties.

Both teams were not able to break the tie in regulation period and extra period as the battle ended goalless going towards the alarming penalty shoot-outs.

Each penalty taker transformed for both Cameroon and Senegal excluding the priciest African player still, Sadio Mane, who failed to see his side’s fifth and ultimate spot kick therefore giving way to Vincent Aboubakar to keep count the crucial penalty to close a last four spot for the Indomitable Lions.

Four-time AFCON winners Cameroon will then encounter the winner of the quarter-final battle between DR Congo and Ghana on Thursday in order to know who survives to go into the Sunday’s final.
