Cocoa production in Cameroon has gone up 14 percent in May to 3,200 metric tons.
The production of cocoa in Cameroon has risen by 14 percent in May to 3,200 metric tons the Cocoa and Coffee Inter-professional Board announced today.
Output increases from 2,800 tons during the previous year, the board stated in an e-mailed statement today from the port city of Douala, without stating a reason for the rise. Production this season was commenced during Aug. 1 is 222,200 tons, going beyond the previous year’s total of 198,000 tons, according to latest statistics from the board.
