Cameroon Business News: Arabica Prices Fall In Cameroon
Yaounde, Cameroon Africa(Cameroon News) – Prices of Arabica Coffee fell down to 8.3% in week to July 31, the board announced in a statement earlier today.
Cameroon’s arabica coffee prices fell down to 8.3 percent to 2,318 CFA francs a kilogram (2.2 pounds) in the week through July 31, the Cocoa and Coffee Board said.
The average export price dropped from 2,529 francs a kilogram, Richard Adzogo, webmaster of the board’s information section, said in a mobile-phone text message from the port city of Douala today.
Farmgate prices for cleaned and dried arabica went down to 7 percent during the same time frane, the North West Cooperative Association said in an e-mailed statement from its head office in Bamenda, 400 kilometers (250 miles) northwest of the capital, Yaounde.
