Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – The Prime Minister and Head of Cameroon government has been spearheading the second session of the Cameroon Business Council, which has ended on a positive note with some far reaching recommendations.
The forum had been convened to review the major steps that had been taken by the government in the enhancement of the business climate in Cameroon during the last whole year.
A delegate from the private sector applauded the fact that of the 17 recommendations made the previous year, 12 have already been acted upon.
The council also noted with approval that a more positive Cameroon was depicted on the Doing Business Report of the World Bank in 2010.
At the end of the discussions, the public and private sectors vowed to enact their respective duties as factors that fuel of economic growth in the country.
The two parties also made the decision to improve interactions and reinstate communication in carrying on business in Cameroon.
In his inaugural address, the Head of Government promised the assembly that government is all set to move on with its growth and employment strategy paper.
In spite of the altered image that has been moving towards positivity, the Government of Cameroon still has a lot more to do in promoting Cameroon’s business climate in appositive light so as to attract foreign investors into the various sectors that indicate a lot of promise.
Participants at the forum however echo the same opinion it has to be a slow process that needs to be undertaken with a lot of time and patience so that the country may be blessed with a vibrant private sector.
However everybody chooses to agree on the fact that the speed with which the recommendations have been implemented in the country and prom[t action taken is quite appreciable.
