Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – Sime muses on a proposal for investment in an oil plantation in Cameroon.
Sime Darby Bhd is discussing on a proposal to invest RM7.5bil (US$2.46bil) in a 300,000 hectare (741,300 acres) palm oil plantation in Cameroon, Mohd Bakke Bin Salleh, the chief executive officer of the Kuala Lumpur-based company said while speaking to London’s Financial Times.
If the deal happens to be finalized then the land will be planted at a rate of 5,000 to 15,000 hectares a year, according to the press reports.
