2011 Cameroon Election – Incumbent President Biya of Cameroon Woo Electors on the Field

Yaounde, Cameroon Africa. (Cameroon News) – Incumbent President Paul Biya, candidate of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in the October 9, 2011 presidential election, has left his comfortable Etoudi Palace in Yaounde to join his campaign teams and other candidates on the field to woo electors ahead of the poll.

Paul Biya is on his third campaign stop in Kribi, the South Region of Cameroon where during a rally on Saturday, October 8, the last day of campaign, he will present the major achievements programme he plans to carry out for the next seven years if re-elected.

The programme signed by the Director of Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of Cameroon, Martin Belinga Eboutou states that President Biya will this Saturday, October 8 at the Mboro neighbourhood of the port town of Kribi lay the foundation stone of the Kribi Deep Seaport.

On Thursday, October 6, Paul Biya met electors in the economic capital city, Douala, where he announced that his next seven-year term of office will be devoted to accelerating economic growth.

He said Cameroon today has 12 banks and 430 micro-finance institutions and once more called on youths to create, innovate and dare in creating jobs and fighting unemployment.

Paul Biya announced a series of programmes he intends to put in place with the ultimate goal of creating some 60,000 jobs.

Before going to Douala, incumbent President Paul Biya and Wife Chantal Biya went campaigning in Maroua, capital of the Far North Region.

He addressed CPDM supporters, those of allied parties and the entire population during a rally on October 4 and the following day granted several audiences before leaving for Yaounde.

    jack: what they are doing now is very bad. how can you vote with the voter's card without the ID card? What if you take somebody's voter's card? who will know that you are the owner or not? Shame to the how system.
